Paradise Island Farm's first Cria of 2007 - "Kanada Kate" born July 2nd at 08:20 hours Mum "Krissy".
After a difficult birth Kate weighed in at 19.5 lbs or aproximately 9 kilos.
July 29th.
Sometimes you have sadness, on July 8th a cria boy was born that did not survive. Mother "Bianca" had a very traumatic delivery and was nearly lost also. With the help of several friends, Bianca is hopefully pulling through. She has lost a lot of weight which is very difficult to put back on. Everyday she is showing inprovement.
Now for some happy times.
Yesterday (28th) at 3:45pm "Thunder" delivered a cria boy "Petruchio" white with fawn tips. He is fine, weighed in at 16 1/2 lbs.
Taylor and I went to check on Petruchio at 6:00am (July 29th), low and behold we found "Tikko" had
delivered a cria girl just minutes before we arrived. "Ariel" weighed in at 16 lbs 2 ozs.
Ariel is a fancy just like her sister Juliet.
August 6th at 5:45pm "Pierre's Adrian" came into the world Mum "Emily" and cria are doing fine.
The cria is named for our French Student Pierre, Adrian choosen from Shakespear's play "As you like it."
